Founder of The POW BAR
Born in Koshimizu-cho, Shari-gun, Hokkaido. From an early age, his father took him mountain climbing. After gaining experience in sales and planning at an outdoor equipment manufacturer, he launched his own food brand, BIOLIFE LAB. He develops and caters energy bars. He also works on events such as pop-up shops for vegan baked goods. In 2019, he launched The POW BAR cafe, an organic cafe with the same concept as The POW BAR, an energy bar brand in Niseko.
Everything is for the purpose of "100% enjoying the activities".
The impetus for developing the energy bar came from questions he had about nutrition for long hikes and backcountry hiking, which he undertook as a hobby.
After leaving his job at an outdoor equipment manufacturer in 2016, he moved to Niseko, Hokkaido, where he had met through telemark skiing. After getting samples to try himself and fellow athletes, he developed an energy bar that was satisfactory in terms of both ingredients and specifications.
In 2019, to rebrand Energy Bar, they opened a workshop and cafe in Niseko Town. The POW BAR cafe, which offers free, healthy, low-impact food and drinks with the concept of "travel and adventure", has been highly praised by locals and foreign visitors alike.
