1. How the Energy Bar was developed
Through my hobbies of long hikes, backcountry skiing, cycling, etc., I have come to realize some doubts and problems regarding energy bars in Japan.
I'm a female developer and I love mountain climbing and backcountry skiing, but I don't have much physical strength.
One day while I was walking in the mountains I was thinking about food.
In the mountains, you can't eat as much as you would in town, but you have to keep your body functioning and moving more than you would in everyday life.
Is this really the right amount of energy to move my body?
In order to replenish energy, and also because we choose foods that will not spoil, our food tends to be high in calories.
However, since they cannot eat raw vegetables, they suffer from vitamin deficiencies.
I realized that my body was using up more vitamins to digest the sugar and additives, and that I was not making good use of the calories I was consuming.
"I get tired easily, I feel weak and hungry, I'm thirsty, and I feel like my stomach is heavy."
All of these problems were caused by the foods I was eating to get more calories.
You want to enjoy activities in nature, but what if the nutrients you put into your body are all scientifically engineered and taste bad?
Your outdoor enjoyment will not be 100% enjoyable, and it will affect your digestion, nutrient breakdown in your stomach, and ultimately your athletic performance.
"I don't have much stamina, but I want to go far away. I want to enjoy the mountains to the fullest."
This energy bar was born from that idea.
